Sorry for being retarded I guess? I'm very sceptical of similar EU laws and generally assume that even if they get passed they'll be inapplicable in 99% of cases or that companies will use loopholes to avoid following them. Or just avoid publishing in the EU.
I remember semi-recently I wanted to use some math tool for university, and the website hit me with "sorry we don't allow our services within the EU because your privacy laws are retarded and don't let us sell your data", which is stupid, because my data IS the product when I'm using a free online tool, duh.
Either way I did sign that petition months ago and even shared it with people IRL, none of which signed it, because the website (IIRC) requires you to input your citizen number, and that's very sensitive data that most people aren't willing to share, even on a seemingly official EU website.
