There is so much to say about the topic of debt.
There is a reason why God Yahweh declared that "Usury is an abomination."
Usury/Interest is an underhanded way of extracting wealth from those you give loans to. And this is why God prohibited the White Israelites of the OT from giving loans with interest to their racial brothers, because it create an unescapable indebtness to the holder of the debt.
-The man who gives the loan becomes the master over he that is in debt.
Every time a bank gives out a loan with interest, that bank is fleecing the local communities by shaving slices of their wealth away.
