>the flood happened around 4,400 years ago.
Given a rate of 5ft erosion a year at Niagara Falls the creation of Lakes Eire and Ontario was nearer 11 thousand years ago.

Flood make have come and gone in the meantime though.

There is a similar geological clock at Bridlington Bay in England. The chalk cliffs at Flamborough Head erode very slowly. The mud cliffs of the bay erode about 4.5 feet a year. Therefore the bay is 7000 years old given its recess from thr headland. Also great Flood legacy? Hard to tell. Not easy to get sequences or dates really right.
