I was what you might call a home shitter when I was a child. Since I had a very active social life and no concept of a poop schedule, I would frequently find myself in situations where pooping was not an option. So I became quite good at suppressing the urge to poop. Too good perchance. Not only did I clench my buttocks to avoid pooping in a foreign bathroom, I began to use this superpower also out of convenience at home. Looking back, I certainly overdone it a bit. Midway into a fateful summer vacation I clogged the toilet of our hotel room with my pent-up first poop and my dad had to use his bare hands to save the plumbing. It took him many flushes and curses and hearing the old man mutter "How can a little child produce such a huge turd?" over and over again made me realize that I took it too far. The moral of the story is: Don't hold it in. It quickly develops into a habit that will eventually negatively impact you and your loved ones.
