alas, in the process of fighting trainers to onboard new pokemon for my team, i feel as though i've gotten a bit overleveled for this gym. yellow's LV50 kadabra and alakazam were definitely a fun change, but that isn't what i'm playing

it really doesn't ever get any better than this, unless you look into Pokemon Ranger, which is essentially an entire video game about doing this... but doesn't have the main rpg part of the game in it, either.

night shade does true damage equal to your current level, and nothing is immune to it in this game. seismic toss works the same way. in gen 2, however, both of these moves do respect type immunities (night shade won't work on normal, and seismic toss won't work on ghost).
