I had to contemplate a lot if I wanted to evolve my Mugendra into him, I mean, Mugen coating himself in red chrome digizoid to perfect his body sounds cool BUT the design feels more so like an alternate Tyrannomon evo more so than a Mugendramon upgrade.
The X version absolutely looks like Mugen but deadlier.


I'll say Metalgarurumon X also salvages the design for me, considering how fucking disappointed I was since childhood since the cool Werewolf go back to 4 legs and just get some metal on top.
Felt like they got it wrong and Metalgarurumon should have been the Perfect alongside Metalgreymon, with both becoming humanoid warriors for the final one. The X version makes him stand upright and he gets a sick machinegun, only way I'd keep one in my team without joggressing him into Omega
