The movie broke its own lore rules because the Rage Infected are not so singularly suicidal anymore
They forage, they form tribes, they have children, they communicate and play, they're basically just extremely aggressive apes now and have displaced humans as the dominant species in Britain but nowhere else because they're easy to kill for organized people with guns

They had to handwave the SHIT out of the "they'll kill themselves off very quickly because they do nothing life-sustaining" stuff
