You know an SU racism PSA could have worked just fine with a little thought. They could have just related it to the gem racism in the show. For example the whole bit where Peridot was humbled after assuming Pearl was basically a glorified house nigger was one of the better episodes.
Shame we got some of the most tone deaf and on the nose PSAs that I have ever seen instead.
