Once you see how easy it is to force game manipulation on both sides and know what to look for, you'd be surprised how many of your ranked games are intentionally stacked from the start.

Just at the very top, there were several high elo solo queue streamers that had their ranked games bet on while being manipulated by chinese players. Tyler1 and Quantumn had their games infested with these players for months at a time, and both have documented it to where you can look it up on youtube if interested.

Each boosting company has a pool of hundreds of accounts that they all share together. If playing in an mmr below gemerald, it doesnt matter since the pool is too large but after a certain spot, these players will regularly run into each other and coordinate wins/losses for maximum efficiency.

When the game continues to lose active players, these companies only have a stronger grip on the game to the point where it won't even be viable to climb without being in the inner circle of it, either by becoming a booster or paying one to play on your account/duo. People in this very thread are doing that now.

Vanguard has largely done very little except delay time that plugins, screenreaders, etc all develop. They still are very much active and are pretty much in the same capacity as before. Riot will only ban in waves which is smart for OpSec but terrible for the players since they have to suffer for months playing against people with robot reflexes.
