sodium hypochlorite, a 5% solution is called bleach. What concentration and it ir was made with the chlor-alkali process with a mercury anode for the NaOH, then that's where you get your mercury slow 1-3 ppb poisoning.
They also use mercury anodes at one time to make KOH and that's used to make high fructose corn syrup easily.

Hydrogen peroxide in low doses % is ok, but if i remember , over 10% and it will clot you up and probably kill you. There was a quack doctor who accidentally injected a patient at the full strength of his supply at 10% or so... lawsuit time.

So the sources of the chemicals and how there were made and what concentration you use them is important.
