It's really hard to generalize this across multiple different builds.
A lot of yellow damage nodes are yellow because they're just additive damage, and thus don't math well in a tree that already stacks heaps of additive damage. Yes, this includes the damage aura. It's nowhere near as good as (You) might think.
Big fat yellow on Castigator Stance because I think it's massively overrated. Its defensive uses are a crutch for bad players, and its offensive uses are pointless compared to the permanent 25% strength you can get out of Arbites Vigilant by using BTL.
Yellow nodes are still good, but as the image says, situational. Some builds might really want them, but if you can swap them for blues, your build will usually be better.
I was tempted to give yellow to Lone Wolf, but while I do think it's grossly overrated, it's still extremely strong because shock mines are broken as fuck and arguably stronger than the dog. The other dog keystones kinda suck.
Dog is strong, remote detonation is... okay. Likely better off running mines anyway for safety's sake.
Even some greens are situational-ish. Force of Will and Concussive really want to be used together. Rebreather is directly between S-tier and skip, but leaving a point in it out of laziness is perfectly fine with how strong it is when you need it.
Not all reds are actually useless, they're just rarely even worth the point compared to literally everything else.

Looking forward to countless (You)s from 100 hour piggers who got carried into auric by their OP class but remain clueless as to the talent tree's math, don't know how to play the class, and have never actually tested how certain skills impact their build.
