yeah, i don't think we've seen the tail yet, but kris might've -- it's interesting that it's explicitly associated with hell when we know that catti and kris once tried to summon a demon, even if that's too vague to really draw any conclusions from. it's also interesting that it's made entirely out of balls in the prophecy image: could be a cat petterz thing, could be referring to the hospital beads somehow, or could just be unrelated balls

agreed, although i think the man is more benevolent than gaster in the sense that he wants us to know everything whereas gaster is obviously hiding shit from us (the colored-in birdhead goner showing up to block plot details). plus, if you take the ps5 trophies as canon, gaster only thinks a chapter is

it's a neat twist on ut's genocide route too, since you can do it on a pacifist run and not face any consequences (yet)
if committing genocide in a video game makes (You) a bad person, are you still a bad person if you do it in a game-within-a-game? and if not, why not? just because they're nes sprites instead of snes sprites? sure, getting the mantle makes the boss fight much easier, but you can TECHNICALLY beat the boss without it, so does the mechanical benefit justify the genocide? how many layers of abstraction do you have to go down before it's okay to murder vidya characters?
