Trying to catch up in Genshin or HSR is 100 times more of a slog than catching up on FGO is, even if you decide to read all of Arc 1 and 2 as you play.

At the end of the day it's still a franchise game and people have spent well over a decade making those "HOW 2 GET INTO FATE XD" charts to permanently ward off anyone new to anime games from even looking at Fate.
Also, it's not flashy fancy 3D so they don't care.
