A bunch of crap drawings would actually be better, because that's exactly the image he cultivates with all the concept art scribbles and stuff he's posted on Twitter. If you're posting it there anyway, why not draw it? I don't think anyone there would care if it looked bad. Granted, they probably thought it was just silly and quirky that he did nothing instead, because indie game fans are by and large retards.
