“Your phone is out of service. Someone else lives in your apartment. Literally no one home knows where you’ve been, not even your weird friend. What happened to you?” Vortexia starts scolding.
“I-I moved out to a new apartment, it’s a long story! It’s been a hectic time in my life, and I did call my parents a couple of weeks ago… It’s no excuse, but...” Nina feels irresponsible! You’re so disappointed. Beth is also disappointed. “All of this to say, I’m sorry. I should’ve tried harder to contact you.”
“I thought you skipped town. You always call!” Vortexia bites her lip.
“I did, multiple times, but you never answered. I thought you were too busy with the audition to talk to me.” Nina sounds very apologetic. “I don’t blame you… I wasn’t fun to be around lately...”
“She did change her phone.” You whisper to Vortexia. “Maybe it showed up as an unknown call.”
“Ugh, I never answer those unless my agency clears them…” Even Vortexia has her quirks.
“Wait, is he listening to us talk?” Nina sounds embarrassed.
“You’re on speaker, love.” Beth chuckles.
