I managed to raise the 70 gold to pay the ransom and free Adolph Von Hissler from the cruel prison of the Bavarian Council.
As a free man I managed to sire a daughter, Eva, and even had her matrilinially betrothed to a Roman Prince. Unfortunately my late wife developed rabies after her pregnancy and died. Luckily I married another princess of Asturias.
The Cathars won their revolt and established an independent realm to the north.
After this I renounced my command of the bavarian army which angered the King. The new king is a wrath young man as his father was killed in the same battle where I was captured. He began plotting against me and I along with many other vassals denounced his lordship and banded together declaring our support for his Uncle, A duke in Germany, to take the throne.
During this war the Cathars invaded Innsbruck but luckily volunteers from Lotharingia and Germany came to our aid.
Now, on Christmas, Adolph has developed severe chest pains which his Court Physician insists is the beginning stages of Great Pox. That princess he married seems to be less chaste than she let on. Perhaps this is why she cannot bear children either...
If Adolph dies his young daughter, Eva will inherit the county of Innsbruck.
If she manages to survive, marry the Roman Prince, and produce an heir the family will live on, but as it stands the future of the House of Hissler is close to failure.
