I find it interesting how very few games have any kind of "social combat" beyond just basic "you roll dice, enemy rolls dice = bigger number wins". I think L5R of all games has a big focus on social play because of courtiers and whatnot. Your characters ARE expected to participate in society and not just be mercenaries for hire.
