Fundamentally flawed conception of the purpose of governments. Tell me, does a government body have an interest/purpose in protecting the people which it administers? No, says the libertarian/ancap, the nation state's only loyalty is to an arbitrary ideology, not to the constituents of the nation itself. Really, I could go blue in the face explaining this, but, just to keep it at its simplest, how does a government survive if it doesn't protect its people? Which nation is healthier, the one whose people aren't consistently addicted to porn/drugs/other substances from an early age, or the one that freely allows these maladies to take root and does nothing to stop them from festering and weakening the people because that would violate the an arbitrary rule that we put in place generations ago? Just hypothetically, of course.
