The original manga had 彼女 at the bubble pointing to the younger woman but with the furigana メギツネ which does in fact mean, vixen or female fox. It refers to a cunning and manipulative woman in slang though. A little different from our slang from the same term, but close enough for VIZ and I guess me as well.
