I prefer an intro song & a credits song. That way I kinda prompt my players to shut the fuck up & tune in when we start & to know that we're coming to an end & to wind down/pack up. I kinda hate music during a session as it kinda distracts. Unless you're playing superheroes or similar settings/characters where a theme song is relevant. It goes really well playing a swelling score when one of the players does something superheroes.
