Actual postpartum depression is real but rare where the hormonal clusterfuck of pregnancy and delivery doesn't resolve properly at the right time. Like autism, ADHD, and other mental issues, it's grossly overdiagnosed and many women are simply garbage to begin with and use it as an excuse to be horrible instead of decent mothers.
