No offense but it's like talking to someone who insists that modern music is bad because of sampling and synthetic instruments and can't understand that synths and sampling aren't bad in and on themselves but because the songs are composed poorly.

The trigun remake would have been garbage even if they kept the original chara design. Shitty cgi, no direction, no sense of color, nothing.

As for Ramna (and Urusei yatsura) these remakes are actually good.

They are ones of the few modern anime that use the bright, shiny colors in a new "pop" style that enhances the gags and make them fun. They don't aim to replace the old ones, it's a new thing... but i guess that since they censored a single outfit it must be bad lol
