Goku, Acer, Maple, Krillin, and Chichi all get a substantial increase through the Korin training, Goku and Acer actually both ending up stronger than Maple through it. They got some incredibly lucky rolls, but it's still quite a jump. Again though, even with things going off the rails it's not a thing that turns the rest of Dragon Ball classic into an easy curbstomp.
