Ah yes, cross culture.

Hmm, a more appropriate term for you is "Imagine a pub in North Ireland, where the locals and regulars are various members of different organizations. You've got Mad Dog Mckay sitting in the corner sipping on a Pale Ale; you've got Blattski and Tubbins in the other corner, laughing over a crossword, a donut and some Lager. There's Shanner O Tonnel and his oddly similar friend Conner O Shannel on opposite sides of the pub, one smoking a cigarette, the other smoking a cigar. Then you've got Constable Pepper O Malley, hunched over writing in his journal of trying to make sense of it all. The bartender switches from various members, of which, all have had fights with one another in the past, all of which are members of various organizations and gangs that often fight with one another. No one at the pub is really on the up and up, nor are they truly relaxing; but the facade of relaxation allows for a moment for rest where all persons involved aren't pointing a knife at one another. But that can easily change, with enough beer, with an errant sneeze, or a wild hair up the arse.

A powderkeg of relatively volatile men and women, who have and will go to war with one another for the littlest of things, that ultimately is unknown because everyone keeps their cards to themselves.

It's charming in a sense, but please know, "Everyone here has a knife, and we're short tempered, but we'd rather have a pint then a stab."

We're all plotting each others downfall and figuring out how to shiv one another, but that's quietly had beneath the comfort facade that we all choose to respect and enjoy whether ironically or unironically.

A den of villains and schemers, with accordion music, beer, and an odd calm that masks the tense aura in the pub.
