She was "blessed" with visions of the future which she can't prevent from childhood, all her attempts to prevent the extinction of her race failed and she was forced to watch them all including her closest friends die off, one of said friends turned out to be an alien wearing her friend as a skinsuit trying to drive her to despair so she'll accept what's been deemed as fate, so she shoots herself into a coma in hopes that the future party will be able to succeed where she failed, but they fail too and all her attempts to defy fate earn her is being forced to become the very force that condemned her species to extinction to begin with.
