The difference between WoW and FFXIV is that WoW doesn't have a bunch of mindless fanboys claiming that it is the absolute pinnacle of MMOs and saving the genre. Even the debased shiteaters who actually like retail nuWoW admit that the series has been on the decline, and they certainly aren't going to go into threads of other games spamming WoW images and acting passive-aggressively butthurt that any other game exists. It's especially bad when the game they're acting is like a divinely crafted masterpiece is actually a fucking Cataclysm clone based around fucking cutscenes.
