Yeah, the finale wasted so much time on Basil and the weird ass faked suicide plot Which the more I think about it the more it seems like an awkward excuse for the something ghost to look like that while keeping the shared guilt plot when it should have been about Sunny and Mari and how she died in the first place. Not confronting that directly and only showing it from Basil's POV makes Sunny's self-forgiveness arc ring extremely hollow.
