They don't want to bring their classic games to the forefront ever again, at most relegating them to half-assedly emulated NSO releases. Skyward Sword was the only 3D game that did get a "proper" rerelease on the Switch with prominence, and that was intentional as a means to make BotW and the upcoming TotK look better as the style of the series going forward, by making SS (the most divisive 3D game) the only non-emulated representative of traditional Zelda on the Switch.
Why else do you think they also just shunted WW onto NSO for the Switch 2 (with noticeable input delay no less) instead of finally rereleasing WWHD?
