Use Obtainium. It checks for new releases on each app's GitHub page or official website and downloads the APK directly from the source. Simple as.
No need to go through all the drama to get apps included in the F-Droid repos and signed by them. I hate how there are three versions of every app. The real one on GitHub, the F-Droid Signed version, and possibly a Google Play version. I just want to update NewPipe, not switch to the F-Droid fork to use their updater.
