It gave us worse aesthetics than 1 and 2, and they carried over to Elden Ring. Pretty much every set is just normal knigthtly armor and the colors are washed out / muddy.
It's impossible to believe that DS3 and ER have worse armor than ds2 which looks like an n64 game at times, but the are direction and ideas are simply superior

A BIG variety of dark coats to look like a wizard / reaper. And I say actual black clothes because DS3 has tons of brown rags but it's not as cool
Straid's set is nice but even the basic hollow black mage set you get early is better than most of DS3 and ER

Dark Souls is pretty much an mmorpg in how extensively you could customize your unit, but DS3 ruined it. If I wanted to make Pic related I couldn't because there's not enough variety in fashion choices
