As much as I hate renewal it did some things right, a skilled team of devs could turn the endless episodic instances into neat new maps bringing new content into the game, a lot of early renewal gear helps shitty classes and make them feel good to play while keeping things reasonable within the pre-re balance, I know ragnadev is kinda doing this but he is just one guy and he seems done with it.
