Haruhara Haruko, she comes to the main character Naota's sleepy Japanese town where nothing happens and hits him with her vespa.
She's some sort of vagabond with unclear motives till the end of the show but once she hits him she starts living with him and her dad to "pay him back"

In reality she's an incredibly self serving and selfish woman who is using Naota and his special ability to get what she wants. All the while Naota's dealing with coming of age and his brother's ex.

Essentially, she's a cool older sister type to him and he loves her but she's using him and while she's doing that she teaches him how to be a man and make plays in your life.

She's a shitty person but all in all she still helps him somewhat, oh she also plays bass guitar.

Like I said, she seems similar to her but who knows with Toby. He definitely would've grown up with this anime since everybody did around then. It was a weirdo anime that earthbound types might like and you had to see it at the right time "get it"
