Imagine if BOTW Link actually carried a shield before the Calamity happened. Wouldn't even be a game to play.

I wish Guardians were as threatening as the game tries telling you they are.
As is, the only reason I'm willing to believe BOTW Link lost to them at all is because he arbitrarily didn't carry a shield.
Goddamn princess' bodyguard and he's only ever seen with the Master Sword. No shield, no bow, nothing. The royal family had a Hylian shield just sitting around. Demisedorf was right about BOTK Hyrule, it's basically begging to get burned to the ground.
