I'm convinced the G3s and G2s are harder so they actually require insane effort to unlock the trophies for carats because G1s are usually tied to career. This makes no goddamn sense. It's nothing to do with them being optional because the Japan Cup was not a part of Air Groove career and I destroyed in that after being demolished in a G2 race just a month before and after.
