I don't think most people around the world want either the kinds of leadership that would do the american MIC's bidding in exchange for such rancid deals, or subversive NGOs, journalists and shell companies being propped up by american interests. This isn't a LvR issue, this is a top-down vs bottom-up issue, just that it's mostly eroded the L-top control while leaving a lot of R-top control (which is mostly military power) in place so the whole L-side is mad.
