Now that I think about it. I bet the oligarchs already stole trillions of dollars from the coffers of our nations to build secret breakaway civilizations with deep underground labs where they can do experiments exactly like the eugenics program I described. So probably what's happening is they have millions of genetically engineered super-humans living underground and they are just trying to figure out how to dispose of all the bad genetic material (us) so the new batch can inherit the earth. If that's the case they will probably keep releasing lab grown bioweapons to weed us out, and start a few wars. Wars are good at mopping up a lot of the lesser lifeforms.
