AZ from XY was a king from 3000 years ago that lost his beloved Pokemon in a war against another country. Created a machine that used Pokemon lives as batteries to resurrect it, which made both of them immortal. The poor little Pokemon was horrified at was he had done and left him. AZ went mad and turned the machine into a nuclear cannon that ended the war instantly.
