Old Pokemon lore was fucking gay and the franchise didn't become cool until gen 3.

the old lore never made sense. There's way too much pokemon infrastructure for them to be a new, hyper invasive "species" and the lack of genuine horror as the wipe out the entirety of the previous animal ecosystem is something they would never be able to square. That said the "new" lore had the opportunity to be interesting but they generally saw the edges off at every turn and go with the dumbest, most infantile ideas at every turn. You can always imagine the tales of not-Nobunaga and his pokemon army and the like though, I guess

I'm a huge fan of the Pokémon lore.
Specifically the stuff about Laprases seducing humans.

As I said, this is due to adaptation to psychic pressure exhibited by all pokemon. Humans abandoned the industrial society (shreds and remnants still remain) and are fully on board with coexistence.

Calling them Pocket Monsters didn't make sense anymore when they replaced animals. Something that's a 'monster' isn't commonplace. That's kind of why there's a word in the first place.

Only a few minor things like how the bug move infestation says thay it summons a swarm of tiny insects, implying that pokemon either has super tiny pokemon or that regular insects exist.

Also both the show and games makes references to humans eating pokemon but it's still something they never really talk to much about or go in to detail. I mean, I can't blame them to much since it would be weird and awful to think about sending such sentient beings to get slautered.

Bug pokemon in general are weird. None of them actually make hives or nests and only combee has an actual queen. As much as I love Durant I always felt it was disappointing how much they could have done with it. If it where up to me I'd make it have 3 evos, grub, Durant and then depending on the gender either a queen ant or a warrior ant.

Pokemon should exist in relatively small numbers compared to normal animals. Even common ones like pidgey should be something that's sort of rare that you'd have to search for among normal wildlife. Looking back throughout history, certain animals and other strange creatures displaying magical abilities should be the stuff of myth and legend that's only recently becoming more understood and cataloged. Seeing an actual rare pokemon should be a once in a lifetime event for most people before the advent of pokemon capture, and even now mythicals and legendaries should only be acknowledged in-universe as singular existences that almost never came into direct contact with humans. Modern day pokemon that have self adapted to live near human civilization should be viewed as the foremost wonder of the modern age, along with the creation of Oak's pokedex

Ultra Beasts are a fun idea but at the end of the day, I prefer that we get more (Past) Paradoxes because A) I hope my favorite mons get some instead of megas which are just temporary uglier forms with spikes slapped onto them B) I find the concept to be tad bit more interesting than the Ultra Beasts for being more vague and mysterious in addition to fleshing out past mons and C) most of the Ultra Beasts are interesting for the pure shock value but I am less likely to put them on my team as opposed to Paradoxes due to a combination of being too off-brand and ugly.

I have LITERALLY the exact opposite opinion of you. I feel pokemon absolutely should be set in the "real world" and taking out America and other real locations greatly takes away the "down to earth" vibe the series once had. Removing the real world elements from the series makes it feel like they're trying (in vain) to make the setting a Utopia, when Pokemon's entire appeal was how "real" it felt.
