Dont worry, offline its very very fun too. You can play solo and set tasks to the "crewbots" and even "take control" of themselves. So if a bot is doing something wrong just play them and do it. With randoms its usually very awkward but its mostly luck, i have played with great crews too so its a gamble!
I have a campaign run on solo and even with more enemies mods the game runs very very sweetly too. So dont fear to add mods
