Something that Deadly Alliance's Konquest Mode (which in this game is just a glorified mission/tutorial) does that I feel a lot of fighters should do is actually include story/lore content that unlocked the further you progress. Like the masters in World Tour is probably the closest to do this because as you level up with a character's fighting style, you unlock more interactions that give you more glimpse at their interests, personalities or even backstory/history.
