Day 50.
In Nimbasa City, I met N again, and to my surprise, he invited me onto the Ferris wheel. During the ride, he revealed a shocking truth—he’s the King of Team Plasma. After the ride, he challenged me to a battle. I defeated him, but he declared his belief that all Pokémon should be freed. With that, he vanished once more.
I focused on training for the next Gym but suffered a tough loss—Tranquil was taken down by a trainer’s Scraggy. I added a few new Pokémon to my team, catching a Trubbish, a Cottonee in Lostlorn Forest, and a Liepard.
Then came the Gym battle against Elesa, the striking model who looked like she could step on me in heels and I'd thank her. My original strategy was for Roggenrola to handle her Emolgas and Sandile to counter Zebstrika, but Roggenrola was already gone. I started with Tirtouga using Ancient Power, but it couldn’t survive two Volt Switches. I switched to Darumaka, who managed to take out one Emolga with Fire Punch despite the constant Volt Switch swapping. Then Zebstrika came out, and surprisingly, Darumaka knocked it out with another Fire Punch. For the final Emolga, I used Sandile. Though I couldn’t rely on Ground moves, a few well-placed Bites won me the match.
With Elesa defeated, I headed to Driftveil City, catching a Ducklett flying near the Driftveil Drawbridge. The Gym Leader, Clay, refused to battle until I located some hidden Team Plasma grunts. I searched the city and discovered the Cold Storage was the only logical hideout. Outside, I caught a Timburr, but inside I lost Trubbish to a trainer’s Timburr. Still, I found the Plasma grunts, defeated them, and watched as they were taken away by the workers.
