what's sad is that it's not a drought as games are still being made, but they're so fucking garbage and a mockery of the mmo genre. sad that after all these years, the best these gooks can make is unreal engine clone #5555 refreshed for 2025 and it's still utter garbage with shit performance, minimalist (read: effortless) ui, and nothing that makes it stand out with all the generic ui assets that are used in the game. it's baffling how the graphics and aesthetic of a game made in 2012 can stand up to, and have more soul than a 2025 game made with cutting edge technology.
