Pokemon beat em up in the vein of GOW/DMC/NMH etc. Small, specific roster of Pokemon you control, getting new ones similar to how you'd get new weapons to expand your moveset. Lots of synthetic Pokemon (Magneton, Regis, future paradoxes, etc) who can be dramatically disassembled for finishers without being gruesome. Slightly edgy save-the-world plot featuring some new Shadow Pokemon form fucking shit up a la Lugia, Mewtwo. Protag is lost in an ancient land with few humans and unfriendly Pokemon to give a lonesome exploration vibe when not fighting, mostly interacting and bonding with his team.
