A thief with a disarm discipline will have higher disarm than MC with enough discipline. I've been trying to catalogue how much each well of the mind node gives and it's not much. It's like +1 disarm per level after the first (first is +2). This madness here is only worth 9 disarm.

There is definitely something to be said for not having to BRING a thief, though. Especially for farm content.
