Why I feel the best character class for the MC is Thief:
1. MC can get higher in any stat than any other character if you stack up Well of the Mind bonuses. This means MC will be good at anything you decide to do, but things start getting real silly if you pump up Evasion as a Thief. Physical attacks just stop hitting you once you get high enough.
2. DIsarming traps costs 1 Vitality for a Thief every time they fail. This can lead to the Thief running out of Vitality long before the rest of the party. The MC does not have Vitality, and so instead you only get 2 attempts on a trap instead of 3. I find this to be an acceptable tradeoff.
3. As a Thief with super high evasion, MC can solo some content that otherwise would require a full party. See my video where I took down Gessi as an example of this. Also, since MC has no vitality, there is zero penalty for dying if MC is doing things solo. Makes it a lot easier to do things like map out the floors of the Old Castle Ruins if you don't have to worry about penalties for a wipe.
4. MC hits very, very hard with critical hits as a Thief if you've got the stat bonuses from spending time as a Fighter.

It's basically an RNGfest.
You want to have at least 2 chars that can cast madios and at least 2 chars that can cast cure spells, preferably more.
After that, it's just praying that the doll doesn't cast charm too often and when it does, it doesn't hit everyone.
The doll doesn't have much hp or damage potential so the greatest threat is charmed allies eating a turn and/or murdering allies.
You can also try upping res and grinding for charm res gear, but people here complain that it doesn't seem to work well. Might be placebo.

I beat Our Heirlooms. 2nd attempt went far smoother, partly thanks to diligently KINAPIC-ing my front row. The added RES does indeed help, the enemy's Charm attacks now only affects 1-2 people instead of 3-4 previously when I did not KINAPIC. My mages/priests did get dangerously close to oom near the end of the fight, shit was cutting it close tbqh.
If anyone else here has yet to beat Our Heirlooms, do try to use gear with RES and MDEF since the boss casts a bunch of damage spells; don't bother too much with DEF since her physical attacks are kinda weak.

Actually, if you look at the rates, ship junk has ~3.6% chance to be 4*, while ninja cave junk is 7%.
Ninja junk also has ~30% chance of being ebonsteel tier, so ninja cave is preferable to farm as you can fish for equip upgrades while getting extraction fodder.
I do feel like ship gives more junk on average though.

The discounted Codex of Learnings for 4k each appear to technically be the most skill-exp for your bux.
But the expensive Intermediate Codex of Learning is still gives four times as much skill-exp as a Codex of Learning and it's just two times more expensive than the non-discounted, regular price for a regular Codex of Learning.
But for 51000 currency I can only afford two Intermediate Codex of Learnings.

But if I spend all my currency on two Intermediate Codexes, then I can't afford the Full Alteration Stones.
Have these Full Alteration Stones been available anywhere else? I should totally grab these shouldn't I? I am assuming they're pretty good for optimizing high end weapons.

So what should I do?
Two Full Alteration stones for 20000?
Then one Intermediate Codex for another 25000?
But now I'm already up to 45000, meaning that I can't afford both the discounted codexes that go for 4k each. But we can still buy one, landing on 49000.
