Yep. I do. I have been playing since the Battledroid days and mostly restict myself to the original unseen mechs from the 3025 TRO and Succession Wars. There are to many mechs introduced in the later eras for me to keep up with and to much retarded and ill thought out powercreep.
I collected most of them dirt cheap off ebay when the latest chonky versions came out and everyone dumped their earlier models for them. Also, I prefer the look of the old janky models, some of them look as if they have been in use for hundreds of years and patched together with scrap and spares found in ruins. I always like the 'mad max' feel to the early Battletech universe, it means every mech is a valuable asset, not something to be wasted on pointless grudge matches. Apart from a few painted in Kurita red and black, I tend to paint most in camo, so they can be used for most houses or merc units.
