Honestly shit's fucking grim, it's not just the video gaming industry that's saturated, everything else is too. Do any kind of tourism or travel recently? Every corner of the planet is filled with tourists, you can never be truly alone.
Airports are bursting 24/7.
Try to get a job? There's a hundred or more people applying to the same job.
A simple menial job sweeping the streets, or chain store drone is harder to get into than anything else.
Try to make actual art (without AI)? Everyone and their mother is an artist, internet's filled with artists. Pixiv, tumblr etc. Zero shortage.
Teaching? Writing a book? Youtube is filled to the brim with tutorial videos for any subject. Millions of indi*ns with unintelligible English accent grifting for views. Udemy, skillshare. It never ends.
The pattern repeats across other disciplines. Sports, cinema, music, journalism, roofer, plumber, electrician...
Even going grocery shopping is exhausting now, it's always filled to the brim with aliens pushing carts full of zogchow.
That is why I'm of the opinion that everything that exists needs to be vaporized in a fire straight out of hell. It's impossible to live like this any longer.
