Dark and Darker got into some huge issues with the store it was in, I think, that's what killed it's momentum. I believe it was fucking pulled from steam and no one wanted to buy it in its official store

a shitload of games are "let's copy this shit without considering if it makes sense for our game". No, not just for games, just for art in general, especially shit that's made to make money. Too many projects are just led by managers or hack directors that have no fucking vision or ideas on what they want to make. You ever notice how so many western AAA games spend fucking YEARS in *pre-production* because they can't figure out what game they're fucking making? That's so many games nowadays because none of these people want to make games they want to make infinite money machines like Fortnite so they just throw shit at a wall and hope it sticks. They don't care. They don't think. It's not about making a good game it's about "analyzing the competition to create a compelling product" go fuck yourself

I don't hate mecha break I've been having some fun playing it but just about every facet of it reeks of "yeah we're just throwing money at a wall and hope it has mass appeal" and it all ends up so boring
