well anon, consider it like this: The tank + engineer is a two+ person team. Do you think you should be able to take on 2+ people solo? Maybe if you hit the backside you might have a chance
Also engineers get an ability to cut down repair by 50% when hitting armor at like the level 1 xp thingy
