The difference is in vanilla you wanted one cool mountie and optionally a pet (let's face it most people don't bother), the collect all of the things autism isn't a thing in classic. It becomes a thing with transmog and account wide mounties and pets. It satisfies the autistic people who wanna just check things off a list.
